Prof. Michael Y. Wang Awarded RMB
4.5M for R&D Project

Prof. Michael Y. Wang is awarded
a project of RMB 4,500,000 under the Guangdong - Hong
Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme from Guangdong
Provincial Department of Science and Technology and
Dongguan City's Office of Science and Technology.
The project (粵港關鍵領域重點突破招標專案: 半導體LED晶片自動檢測和分選裝備)
is to develop automatic LED die probing and sorting
machine during a period of two years. It is a joint
project among Dongguan Fortune Electronic Materials
Co. Ltd, Huazhong University of Science and Technology
(Wuhan) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prof.
Wang serves as a Co-Investigator and the Deputy Project
Coordinator.
The Guangdong - Hong Kong Technology
Cooperation Funding Scheme (TCFS) is a programme established
to enhance the level of collaboration on R&D between
organizations in Hong Kong and Guangdong Province. It
supports midstream/downstream research and development
(R&D) projects.
